Animation & RIGGING
I was lucky enough to be brought on to the Google Playground project, for Lens 3, as the lead rigging artist for the Pets crew. This turned out to be very intensive and one of the more detailed and nuanced rigs I’ve built.
Skateboarding is a huge passion of mine, and nothing is better than a well executed Kickflip. I decided one night to just put it in 3D, and used audio and inspiration from one of my favorite skaters Samarria Brevard
This “Chull” character was created by me, rigged and animated to be an interactive idle creature in a VR Game.
I was tasked with creating and rigging/animating a small critter for a VR Experience that would scuttle around the ground and bring life to the space. The challenge was a very limited polycount and tiny bone count. I was quite proud of the end result and movement that was captured.
This quick combo was to scratch an itch when I found the TMNT rig online. I was a huge fan as a kid and just wanted to make it move.
3D ARTWORK
One of my main tasks working for Arcturus was making visual demos to show the potential of spatial video. For this demo I used a Freestyle BMX’er in a DIY skatepark I modeled and then put it in the Tilt Five Headset.
The same Environment was used to make the Splash Art seen above, which was rendered in Cinema 4D and uses several frames from another BMX Capture.
This demo was built for the Sony SRD, a fixed spatial display screen. We wanted to show a capture in motion and I decided to do an infinite treadmill style experience. This was built in Unreal and displayed on the Sony SRD at shows.
There were several projects centered around using Spatial Video captures to create marketing materials. This is a small collection of those I generated
